That’s a wrap! Kelly’s Apartment happened when GenZ & GenX writer-directors Kate & Suzanne combined their stories; Suzanne’s about growing up in the shadows of the P4W (Prison for Women) and Kate’s about coming of age as a queer, GenZ woman. Enhanced by an original soundtrack including 3 songs written for the film, the stories merge in a modern ride of young love, nostalgia, and a ghostly possession! So grateful to 50 Year Dream Productions for making this project possible!

Streaming now on CBC Gem, The Scrapped, explores themes of memorializing, inspired by the recently decommissioned P4W (Prison for Women) in Portsmouth Village in Kingston, Ontario, Canada. It’s a village with many walls; both tangible walls of prisons, psychiatric institutions and a university to abstract walls that separate communities.
